Meal planner FAQ
How does the keto meal planner choose my meals?
For each day it tries hundreds of random combinations of our free recipes and keeps the one that comes closest to your calorie target, stays under your net-carb limit and has enough protein. Portions are scaled in quarter servings so the day fits. Shuffle for another week, or lock the meals you like first and the planner builds around them.
What calories and net carbs should I pick?
The keto macro calculator gives a starting estimate. Needs vary from person to person, and every number here is an estimate calculated from recipe ingredients, not medical advice. Check with your doctor or a registered dietitian before changing how you eat, especially if you take medication or have a medical condition.
Can I plan for more than one person?
Yes. Choose how many people you are cooking for and the shopping list scales to match. The calories and carbs on screen are always per person.
What does leftovers mode do?
It cooks dinner on Monday to Thursday from recipes whose storage notes say they keep well, then uses that dinner for lunch the next day, Tuesday to Friday. You cook less and shop for less, and the shopping list adds the extra portions.
Why do some breakfasts and lunches repeat?
The free collection has 6 breakfasts and 6 lunches, so a seven-day week repeats a few of them. Leftovers mode shrinks the lunch repeats, and the 28-Day Plan has 52 different recipes if you want more variety.
Are my plans saved, and who can see them?
Your plan is saved only in your own browser. We never receive it. The copy link button builds a link that contains the recipes, portions and your calorie target, so anyone you send it to can open the same week.
How is this different from the 28-Day Plan?
The planner is a free tool that mixes our free recipes. The 28-Day Plan is a 104-page book of 52 recipes planned across four weeks, with macros for every day, a grocery list for each week and a Sunday prep schedule.
